Our District

Every six weeks it is time for transfers. This has been our district from November 15th to December 20. Each transfer we always lose a missionary or two as they get shuffled to new areas. It is always a great opportunity to rub shoulders with these awesome young people. They are amazing to me. They come here from all different states and countries and learn a very difficult language and serve with all their might and always have smiles on their faces. It is great to be a part of this great work with them.

  1. Thank you for taking care of our missionaries, and for your love and concern for them. Our missionary...Elder Hardy tells us all the time, how much he loves and appreciates The Bailey's. We also love seeing pictures and updates on your blog. Thank you!

  2. I'm Elder Jonathan Kline's mom, and he wrote about how much he loves the couple missionaries in his last letter. I've seen him in a picture on your site, so I think you know him. Here's what he wrote:

I wanted to express my gratitude for the senior missionaries that serve here and globally. Because of them I had a Christmas dinner, I have a good home-cooked meal once a week, and I've got a couple of friendly faces every day at the office. They do a lot of work and have to deal with a lot of problems, especially since Ukraine lacks a lot of the conveniences that sometimes seem standard. Add in that most of them are grandparents, so them serving means that they don't get to see their grandkids for a year and a half, and it's a huge sacrifice for them to be here. I've been really lucky to be in a district with senior couples for my entire mission so far, and I've been really impressed by the work they all do.
